New Dentures

Getting used to new dentures

New dentures can feel strange at first. Most people find it gets easier with a little time and practice.

If anything hurts or does not feel right, come and see us. Do not try to fix it yourself.

  • Start with soft foods cut into small pieces
  • Chew on both sides at once
  • Practise reading aloud to get used to speaking
  • Expect some sore spots and book an adjustment if they appear
  • Keep your follow-up visits
